Rules
TO DO LIST for each team captain:
- Join Channel "CorruptedCup" on Dota2
- Wait for the bracket to be released.
- Ask an admin to create a lobby for your game, the admin will tell you how to find it
- Report the game results in the Result Form (Link will be provided during the check-in period).
- Report any issues to an Admin. The staff is there to help with matches and disputes in and out of the matches for the tournament
How to contact your opponent?
- You can find your opponents on the Dota2 channel "CorruptedCup" which all captains and admins should be located at.
How to report results?
- Resulting can be done on the Battlefy bracket.
- Teams who are LATE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES will automatically forfeit their match to their opponent.
- To report disputes, contact an admin in the meet-up channel.
Tournament-Specific Terms & Conditions
1. The organizer of this tournament is the Corrupted Staff
2. Players must be available on all tournament dates.
3. The act of registering for this tournament implies full acceptance of all terms, conditions, rules and regulations stated in this entirety.
4. The organizer reserves the right to modify the rules and regulations without notice, to protect the integrity and ensure that there will be a smooth flow of the tournament.
Registration & Check-In
1. Teams must register for the tournament during the registration period.
Tournament Schedule & Rules
1. Tournament schedule will be posted in the respective tournament page (www.facebook.com/CorruptedCup)2. Teams are expected to be in the lobby at the designated time. There will be a 15 minutes grace time provided.
3. If one team is not ready after the 15 minute grace time has ended, their opponent receives a default win by contacting an admin and having the admin to confirm by checking the lobby.
4. If both teams agree, they can delay their match for a maximum of 15 minutes. After that, whoever has the most players in their team will receive a default win by contacting an admin and having the admin to confirm by checking the lobby.
5. In order to keep the tournament on schedule, teams may not wait more than 15 minutes or both teams may be disqualified.
6. All results and disputes must be reported in the Result Form and the Dispute Form or to an admin right after the match has ended.
Specific Game Rules
1. The software used is DOTA 2 (Steam).
2. The game mode used is Captain’s Mode and it will be played in the Tournament version.
3. Games will be played on the Australian server.
4. Teams on the Top bracket will play on the Radiant side and teams on the Lower bracket will play on the Dire side. First pick will be on Random and the game series will be a Best of 1 series until finals, which will be a Bo3.
5. The first team to destroy their opponent’s ancient wins OR the team that calls “GG” first, loses.
6. Each player attending the tournament must have read and accepted the rules and regulations. Ignoring the rules and regulations is not a valid reason in case of any disputes/issues.
In Game Rules
1. If any player disconnects during a match, the game will be paused until the player has reconnected. Pausing without a justifiable reason will result in teams being penalized.
2. The maximum pause time is 10 minutes PER team. After the 10 minutes grace period is up, the game has to be resumed regardless of the circumstances.
3. The opposing team is required to pause the game in any event that all the players on the opposing team unintentionally disconnected from the game. Failure to do so will lead to disqualifications. The actions to be taken will be in the discretion of the marshal.
4. In the case of server crash, the game can be continued from the beginning (ie. New draft)
Conduct
1. Players will conduct themselves in a reasonable manner, maintaining a friendly and polite demeanor to spectators, competitors, members of the press, tournament staffs and to other participants of the event
2. Players will refrain from the use of vulgar languages during the entire tournament. All rules of conduct also applies to chatting through the game console.
3. Players are expected to compete in a professional manner. Throwing a match, halting play without cause or showing a flagrant lack of effort will be construed as a violation of player conduct and will result in match penalties, forfeit and disqualification from the tournament.
4. The Corrupted Staff (organizers), has the right to apply penalties, disqualify and dismiss any registered player from the tournament at their discretion at any stage of the tournament, for any reason, with no prior warning to the player(s).
Roster
1. All players from ANY countries are allowed.
2. A team is allowed to have up to 3 substitutes on their roster.
3. A player cannot participate in more than one team during the tournament. Both teams will be automatically disqualified. The team the player is originally from AND the team he is standing-in for.
Penalties and Disqualification
1. If there is any breach in tournament rules and regulations, the tournament admins are allowed to apply penalties according to their judgment and discretion.
2. Penalties that can be applied are as follows:
a. Warning
b. Default loss
c. Disqualification of a player/team from the entire tournament
d. Blacklisted from any future tournaments
3. Disqualifications are applied by the tournament officials, be it the tournament admins or the tournament organizers and will void all rights for the entire team to participate any further in the tournament.
4. Each match result must be submitted to the admin within 1 hour after the match has ended. The tournament organizer/admins have the right to disqualify or replace the team with another team if the match result is not submitted within 1 hour.
Admin Rights
1. Admin may overrule rules based on the situation at hand. Admin’s decisions are final after the appeal process.
